Recce Meet 2003 - Florennes |
Once again, Florennes was the place to be. After the first edition which was held in 2002, the Belgian Air Force organised for the second time a Reconnaissance Meet. Host unit was No. 1 Squadron which is based at Florennes. On the last day of the July, the gates were open for local people as well as aviation enthousiast. The sun could be seen often so many people enjoyed the day, including myself. |

Alpha Jet, AT-26, didn't participate in the excersise but came to Florennes to fly a demo. The Alpha Jets of the Belgium Air Force are based at Beauvechain. |

The award winning Tornado of the NATO Tiger meet from AG.51 took part in the excercise. Tornado IDS, 43+96, belongs to AG 51 which is based at Schleswig-Jagel, Germany. |

Another aircraft wearing special markings was this Mirage F.1CR, 608/33-NG. The Mirage belongs to (ER) 2/33 which is based at Reims. |
| Mirage IIIRS, R-2116, was one of three Mirages of the Swiss Air Force at Florennes. Unfortunately, Fliegerstaffel 10 will be disbanded in 2003 and the Mirage IIIRS will be withdrawn from use... |

Besides of the Tornado's, the Italian Air Force also came with two AMX reconnaissance aircraft. One of them was this nicely painted AMX. The MM7142 belongs to 132 Gruppo. |
